The Job Begins

The Los Angeles Lakers have capitalized on the difficulties of an unusual postponed Covid-19 season, But with that being the case we will not be waiting too long for basketball.

The NBA players association have agreed on a start date of the 2020-21 season along with certain adjustments to provisions of the collective bargaining agreement affected by Covid-19.

As the talks continue here are some notable dates for the upcoming NBA season.

– Wednesday, Nov. 18 – NBA Draft 2020 presented by State Farm at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN

– Friday, Nov. 20 – Free agent negotiations begin at 6 p.m. ET

– Sunday, Nov. 22 – Players can sign contracts with teams beginning at 12:01 p.m. ET

– Tuesday, Dec. 22 – Opening Night of 2020-21 season

This season will be a little different with a shortened 72 game season rather than the normal 82 games played for the 75th NBA season.  With opening day 2 days from Christmas day its exciting to see what Christmas day games we will see and how the NBA will adjust to the bubble being popped.

This season has been filled with a lot of ups and downs as Browns lose against the Raiders and go into the bye week 5-2.

After a record-breaking performance last week from Baker Mayfield, he was below average vs the Raiders throwing 12-25 for 122 yards without throwing a single touchdown.

With browns fans barking about Cleveland’s secondary and alternating the blame between Joe woods and Andrew Sendejo, it’s hard to point the figure on that side of the ball when they held the Raiders offense to 16 points. This is the least amount of points scored on the Browns defense this season.

When Baker was asked about the weather conditions it was short and simple. There are no excuses they had the same disadvantages as us. They executed and did what we were trying to do.
