BROOKLYN, Ohio – North Olmsted Eagles (8-1-1) went up against the Cleveland Heights Tigers (6-4-0) in the semi-finals of the Baron Cup I at the John M. Coyne Center as the last game on Saturday Night. The Eagles ripped the black and orange as the Tigers wore black and yellow. The North Olmsted Eagles win the battle as they beat the Cleveland Heights Tigers to a 2-1 score after it took four overtimes.

North Olmsted got on the board first with 2:23 left in the first period from a Riley Vertosnik goal which gave the Eagles a 1-0 lead going into the middle period.

The second period was a stale mate as it remained scoreless after both teams could not get solid footing and were unable to score.

It wasn’t until the third period until any team hit a goal as Noah Weisblat put the Tigers on the board with a very late third period goal to put it all tied up.

Shane Mulnick put the game away as he hit a goal in the fourth overtime to send the North Olmsted Eagles to the Baron Cup I Championship.

The go on to verse Shaker Heights tomorrow at 5:30 at the John M. Coyne Center.
